The Minnesota Vikings selected former Gophers linebacker Nathan Triplett in the fifth round of the NFL Draft Saturday afternoon.
Triplett was the 167th overall pick in the 2010 draft, and the 36th pick in the fifth round.
ESPN rated Triplett as the 19th linebacker in the draft.
The Maple Plain, Minn. native had one career start before his senior campaign last season. During his senior year, Triplett tallied 92 tackles and two interceptions.
