Students for Obama president Laura Pratt and former U.S. vice president Walter Mondale watch a video stream from the Democratic National Convention on Thursday evening in Rapson Hall. Mondale encouraged students to involve themselves in the political process in fall 2012.

Students filled a Rapson Hall lecture hall Thursday night to watch a live feed of the Democratic National Convention and to hear from former Vice President Walter Mondale.

Students For Obama, a campus group focused on re-electing Obama and increasing student turnout at the polls, hosted the DNC watch party.

After a brief speech by Mondale urging students to get involved with the campaign, the audience watched the president deliver his speech and accept the nomination in Charlotte, N.C.
