U kicks off campus government election season

by Jens Krogstad

The University’s campaign season begins today as students can start filing for student government.

Some of the open positions include those in the Minnesota Student Association – such as president, vice president and at-large vacancies – the University Senate and the Minnesota Public Interest Research Group.

All-campus elections informational packets will be available today through March 31 at the following Coffman Union locations: the Student Activities Office, the MSA office and the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly office.

The All-Campus Election Commission will send University-wide e-mails to encourage students to become involved in the elections.
