The 2010 State of the University address scheduled for Thursday afternoon has been canceled with no plans to reschedule. President Bob Bruininks was planning to give the annual speech, but currently has laryngitis which makes him âÄúunable to speak audibly for extended periods of time,âÄù according to an e-mailed announcement. With only a little more than a month left in the spring semester, the announcement stated the speech will not be rescheduled. Instead, the presidentâÄôs remarks will be available on the Office of the President Web site on Monday. – Taryn Wobbema is a senior staff reporter
