The Gophers men’s athletics department announced Thursday that Thomas Glielmi has been named an assistant coach for the men’s gymnastics team.
Glielmi has been the owner and men’s head coach of the International Sports Center in Matthews, N.C., for the past seven years. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Northern Illinois.
“I’m extremely excited about coming to the University of Minnesota,” Glielmi said. “I’m looking forward to working with (head coach) Fred Roethlisberger and the Minnesota team.”
