The Huskies had a home-ice disadvantage last season. Under the direction of Craig Dahl, St. Cloud State posted a 9-10-1 home record in 1998-99.
St. Cloud State might capitalize on their 10th year in the WCHA with a top-five finish. The team returns 19 letterwinners from a year ago.
Up front, the Huskies welcome back the services of senior forward Matt Noga, sophomore standout Tyler Arnason and junior forward Brandon Sampair. This trio combined for 93 points last year with 38 goals and 54 assists.
On defense, sophomore Mike Pudlick and senior Geno Parrish form a potent tandem. In his rookie season, Pudlick chipped in with 13 goals and 12 assists. The veteran Parrish added seven goals and 10 assists.
Between the pipes, Dean Weasler returns after posting 13 games his freshman season. Weasler had a 2.97 GAA with three shutouts.
