Man who inspired “Hotel Rwanda” coming to U

Paul Rusesabagina, the man who inspired the movie "Hotel Rwanda," will be speaking on campus Monday night. The talk will be held at Northrop Auditorium at 7:30. It is free and open to the public. Here is a link to more information on the event. In 1994, Rusesabagina helped shelter over a thousand Tutsis in his hotel from the genocide in Rwanda that claimed an estimated 800,000 to 1 million people. His courageous actions inspired "Hotel Rwanda" in 2004. Actor Don Cheadle portrays Rusesabagina and was nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award.

Rusesabagina also authored "An Ordinary Man," which is about how any person can change the world. Rusesabagina with Don Cheadle Mike Rose City editor
