Two stabbed Sunday at University Village

Two people were stabbed Sunday morning at University Village, according to Minneapolis police.

University and metro police officers responded to a call reporting a stabbing at 1:19 a.m. at 2601 University Ave. S.E.

Minneapolis police Lt. Mike Carlson said both victims were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. He said they were in stable condition but could not comment on the severity of their wounds.

Their names were not released, but Carlson said the victims, who were part of a group of people at the scene, did not list University Village as their permanent addresses.

Minneapolis police are investigating the incident.
