Andre Hollins has Gophers up on Michigan at the break

A lot of fresh talent had big performances during the Gophers nonconference season.
But 20 minutes through the Big Ten opener, it's a familiar face that's running the show.
Andre Hollins has nine points as Minnesota leads Michigan 30-28 at the half.
Hollins stayed aggressive through some early shooting struggles — he shot 3 of 7 from the field in the first half.
The Gophers have struggled from the perimeter. Minnesota is just 2 of 10 from deep — a rarity for a squad shooting 35 percent from three as a team this year.
But Minnesota is getting the job done of the glass. The Gophers have outrebounded Michigan 21-15 behind heavy lifting from Elliott Eliason (six boards) and Oto Osenieks (five).
