Gophers vs. Concordia-St. Paul (Exhibition) – Minnesota leads at the half
Published November 5, 2013
The Gophers have looked aggresssive, fast and sloppy in the first 20 minutes as they lead Concorida-St. Paul 47-37.
Minnesota has struggled to take care of the ball in the up-tempo. The Gophers have committed seven turnovers.
The Gophers big men have carried much of the offensive load. Mo Walker (10 points) and Elliott Eliason (8 points) are Minnesota's two leading scorers and both have looked for their offense down low. Walker added six rebounds.
Andre Hollins looked quiet for much of the half, but went on a seven-point scoring run midway through the half — his only points in the first session.
The Gophers have corrected their rebounding and free-throw woes from the first exhibition through 20 minutes. Minnesota has outrebounded Concordia 19-16 and is 7-for-9 from the charity stripe.
Chris Halvorsen update: The former Gophers walk-on has one point and one rebound for the Golden Bears.
