El Tinklenberg conceded the race for U.S. House Representative in the 6th Congressional District at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Earlier in the evening… Tinklenberg just took to the podium at his election night party to say he remains hopeful about the race. With about 50 percent of precincts reporting, he said he’s leading in the St. Cloud area and in Woodbury and Stillwater. “This is a long ways from being over, and we’re hanging in there,” he told his cheering supporters.

As of now, the Secretary of State’s Office says Michele Bachmann (47 percent) is leading against Tinklenberg (42 percent) with 32 percent of precincts reporting. Earlier…

DFL candidate El Tinklenberg   arrived around 9 at his election night party as supporters continue to trickle into the Fountains of Ramsey Event Center in Ramsey. They’re enjoying appetizers and drinks while watching election results on four television screens.

Several jeered when KARE-11 reported about ten minutes ago that Tinklenberg had 43 percent  of votes to Michele Bachmann’s 46 percent, with 12 percent of precincts reporting.
