If the U.S. government and its media really cared about girls like Malala Yousafzai then we would have heard about this type of horrible treatment of females during the 1980s, when the Mujahideen, which is now the Taliban, were being supported by our own country. Does anyone think this abuse and violence upon females was not going on in the 1980s?
Our government and the media made it a point to keep it a secret from the American public, as to how men were treating women in that part of the world, as they supported the same people fighting against the Soviets.
But now, with a war against the Taliban, saving females in Pakistan and other Middle Eastern countries is now an American cause.
