People travelling through the University of Minnesota campus and downtown Minneapolis should expect increased traffic Thursday, according to the city of Minneapolis, because three sports teams play that day.
The Twins play the Kansas City Royals at 12:10 p.m. Thursday at Target Field. The Gophers host Nevada-Vegas at 6 p.m. Thursday at TCF Bank stadium, and the Vikings play the Tennessee Titans at 7 p.m. at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
The city is encouraging people to plan ahead and use alternative transportation options when going downtown that day.
