Freshman Taylor Uhl scored a hat trick and recorded an assist in a 5-0 win over South Dakota State on Sunday.
In doing so, she became only the 11th player and 3rd freshman in program history to score a hat trick. She earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week for her performance.
The former Eden Prarie Eagle recorded five shots on net. The last Gophers soccer player to win Big Ten Freshman of the week was Mackenzie Misel, who won it last season on September 27.
