The No. 6 Gophers hosted and beat the Iowa Hawkeyes 196.825-196.175 on Saturday, winning their fourth-straight meet to improve to 4-1 this season.

The Gophers started their night on vault, giving sophomore Tiarre Sales her first opportunity of the season to compete in the event. In turn, she scored a 9.825 for a third-place finish. Senior Paige Williams tied her season-high score of 9.850 for a split first place on the podium along with teammate Maddie Quarles.

The women moved onto bars next as junior Ona Loper and senior Ivy Lu shared the top of the podium scoring 9.875. For the second event in a row, the Gophers swept the top three spots.

The streak ended on the beam as the Gophers couldn’t sweep the podium, but Lu was able to pick up the gold again. She scored a 9.925, her highest score of the night.
