The Minneapolis Police Department responded to a report of an attempted robbery Monday night.
The incident occurred at 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of University and 13th Avenue, according to a timely warning sent by the University of Minnesota.
The suspect approached the victim with a handgun and demanded valuables, though no valuables were taken and the victim was not injured. The suspect left the area on foot.
