Minneapolis residents can park on both sides of the street again, after the city lifted winter parking restrictions that had been in place since December.

In an announcement Monday afternoon, the city said the restrictions have been lifted, effective immediately, after a week of mild temperatures and thawing snow.

The restrictions had limited parking to only one side of the street on non-snow emergency routes to allow access for emergency vehicles.
