ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) — An employee at a food service plant opened fire Thursday during a meeting with his bosses, killing one executive and wounding two others before shooting himself to death, a radio station reported.
The U.S. Food Service worker was discussing differences he had with the company around noon when he starting shooting, WAEB reported, citing an unidentified source with ties to the plant. The station said one manager was shot to death and two other officials, one a vice president, were wounded.
The worker then shot himself, the station reported.
The two wounded plant employees were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital and were in critical and stable condition, hospital spokeswoman Tracey Micio said. She did not identify the victims.
Bonna Walker, a spokeswoman for the Columbia, Md.-based U.S. Food Service, could not confirm how many people were injured.
Police were at the plant and a busload of workers were taken to the police station.
