Paul Ryan campaigning in Minnesota Sunday

Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan will be campaigning in Minnesota Sunday with only days left before the election.

The rally will take place at the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport at 3:30 p.m; doors open at 1:30 p.m.

Presidential campaigning has picked up in the state this last week with presidential TV ads hitting the airwaves and Bill Clinton stopping in Minneapolis and Duluth to campaign for President Barack Obama. Candidates are also hitting up the Minnesota-Wisconsin border — Ryan campaigned in Hudson, WI on Tuesday and Vice President Joe Biden is slated to campaign in Superior, WI on Friday.

Polls show Obama in the lead in Minnesota, but Minnesota Public Radio reported that Romney's campaign and other Republicans have "argued that the race is tightening."

Minnesota hasn't elected a Republican presidential candidate since 1972 and is widely considered to lean Democratic.
