About 50 Iranian-Americans continued demonstrations against alleged election fraud and street violence in Iran with a protest on Wednesday afternoon.

Sara Nasiri Amini, a grad student at the University, said the protest went from approximately 11:30 to 1:30 on Wednesday, and was held at the Hennepin County Government Center Plaza.  She said the majority of protesters were Iranian-Americans, and that about 15 of the protesters were University students.

Nasiri Amini said Iranian-Americans have been holding and will continue to hold candlelight vigils at Peavey Plaza every night.
