The Gophers (6-1-3 overall, 7-1-4 Western Collegiate Hockey Association) picked up 30 of 34 first-place votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll and 41 of 50 votes in the USCHO.com/CBS Sports Division I poll. Minnesota returns to action this weekend as part of the College Hockey Showcase. The Gophers will play No. 14 Michigan on Friday night and unranked Michigan State on Saturday. Both games are slated for 7:07 p.m. start times at Mariucci Arena.
