Gophers junior basketball recruit Trevor Mbakwe’s lawyer presented the status of Mbakwe’s case today in Miami-Dade County (Fla.).
Gregory Samms said nothing has changed regarding Mbakwe’s felony aggravated battery charge, alleged to have happened in April.
The trial date is set for Dec. 14 and Samms said that everything he has collected points to him knowing that Mbakwe is "totally innocent."
Minnesota Athletics Director Joel Maturi announced Monday that Mbakwe could not join the Gophers for games until the case was resolved.
