Gophers football coach Tim Brewster announced in a release on Thursday afternoon that the team has dismissed sophomore defensive back Tim Dandridge for an unspecified violation of team rules and policies.

Dandridge played in 21 games the past two seasons and recorded three total tackles as a backup defensive back and special teams player.

Dandridge was suspended for two games earlier this season for a similarly unspecified violation of team rules and policies.

The Gophers (6-6) will play Iowa State (6-6) in the Insight Bowl in Tempe, Ariz., on Dec. 31.
