Fox Sports North to show Gophers football via tape delay

by Nate Gotlieb

The next Gophers football game won't be broadcast live at most Twin Cities households.

The Minnesota Athletics Department announced Friday that Fox Sports North will show the game twice on tape delay but won’t broadcast it live. The Gophers (1-0) play New Mexico State (0-1) at 7 p.m. Saturday in Las Cruces, N.M.

The network is airing the game at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, and at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, according to an athletics department release. Fans can watch the game live on computers and mobile devices using BTN2Go, an app run by the Big Ten Network.  The radio station KFAN-AM will also broadcast the game live locally, and fans can listen to it for free on GopherSports.com, the release said.

Daily reporter Jack Satzinger will be at the game.  Follow @DailyattheBank for live updates.
