The 1997 Hobey Baker Memorial Award Banquet is this Thursday at the Decathlon Hotel and Athletic Club in Bloomington.
The award, which is annually given to the best college hockey player in the country, will be presented to Michigan senior forward Brendan Morrison.

Last year’s Hobey Baker winner, former Gophers center Brian Bonin, will be in attendance to pass the award down. Bonin is currently playing minor league hockey for a Pittsburgh Penguins affiliate.
The banquet starts at 6:00 p.m. and tickets are $80.00 each.
