Brock Lesnar, the Minnesota wrestler who won the NCAAheavyweight title in March, made the announcement Thursday at the Bierman football complex that he has not signed a contract to wrestle with the World Wrestling Federation.
The announcement contradicts an Associated Press story which came out Monday saying he had signed a contract to join the WWF. The story reported Lesnar made the announcement during an appearance at his old high school in South Dakota on Saturday.
Lesnar is still considering his options, although he has indicated that he is leaning towards joining the WWF for financial reasons.
The senior wrestled for two years at Minnesota and is majoring in Business Industry Education.
He is expected to make a decision within the next few weeks.
