MINNEAPOLIS (AP) âÄî A Metro Transit bus driver is on leave after allegedly driving a bus while drunk. Brooklyn Center police say callers reported a Route 5 bus was driving erratically Saturday night. They say the driver failed a field sobriety test, and his blood alcohol level tested at 0.24 percent, triple the legal limit for driving. The driver posted bail and was released Sunday afternoon. He has not yet been charged. Metro Transit calls the incident “outrageous.” It says this has not happened before in agency history. Metro Transit has begun a comprehensive review of its policies and procedures to see if they work as intended.
