Gophers women’s hockey forward Amanda Kessel recorded two assists in the U.S. national team's 4-0 victory over Sweden in the Four Nations Cup.

Kessel assisted on defenseman Lisa Chesson's  goal just 1:57 into the game. Kessel and former Gophers forward Sarah Erickson tallied assists in the second period on a goal by Wisconsin forward Brianna Decker.

The U.S. had 43 shots on goal to Sweden's nine.

The U.S. will play Canada on Wednesday in a rematch of last year's Four Nations Cup championship game, which the Americans won.
