Elma called from the bathroom, “Elmo, I’m going to leave you, and there’s nothing you can do about it.” Elmo , cup of hot caffeine in hand, joined her by the stool. He took a drag off his Camel straight, exhaled and replied, “Well, you couldn’t have picked a better day. It’s going to be mostly sunny; the high in the middle to upper 40s. Since I’m keeping the Camaro, you’d better wear that ugly leopard skin coat of yours; tonight’s low will be 20 to 25, and the sky will be lonely and clear.” Elma’s hand paused, then she continued to brush her balding, blond head. She laughed, “Tomorrow, the sun will be warm , a high in the middle to upper 50s”
