Sara Moulton and Madie Eckstrom took home weekly honors from the Big Ten after being named co-MVPs at the Carolina Classic this past weekend.

Moulton, the Big Ten Pitcher of the Week, threw three complete games, and went 2-1 on the weekend. She posted a 0.67 ERA and 28 strikeouts, while giving up just two runs in 21.0 innings innings. Moulton is now 8-2 on the year with a 0.56 ERA in 62.0 innings. She was previously named Pitcher of the Week for the week of Feb. 13. 

Eckstrom, along with Northwestern's Olivia Duehr, were named co-Freshman of the Week. Eckstrom went 6-for-11 this weekend with four RBIs. She went 3-for-4 with three RBIs on Sunday in the team's 9-1 win over Notre Dame. Eckstrom is the first player to be named Freshman of the Week since Moulton was in April, 2011. 

The softball team will return to play on Friday in Athens, Ga. in the Bulldog Invitational.
