Gophers volleyball's Tori Dixon earned the Big Ten conference's Player of the Week award Monday.
The senior middle blocker helped her team to four straight-set wins this weekend at the UAB/Samford Tournament. She led Minnesota in kills (49), kills per set (4.08), hitting percentage (.472), total blocks (11), blocks per set (0.92) and points (58).
The Gophers open the home season Friday and Saturday in the Diet Coke Classic at the Sports Pavilion against Ball State, Duke and Western Illinois.
