Drivers near the University of Minnesota can expect more complications due to light rail construction.
In order to link the Hiawatha light rail line with the new Central Corridor line, which will run through the University campus to downtown St. Paul, two ramps near the West Bank of campus will be closed in the coming days.
The ramp from 4th Street to southbound I-35W will close Wednesday until the summer, while the ramp from northbound I-35W to Washington Avenue will close Monday until November 2012.
The closures come just weeks after crews shut down two lanes on the Washington Avenue Bridge in order to make way for the new rail line.
