White and Bostick suspended indefinitely

Minnesota has suspended basketball players Devron Bostick and Royce White indefinitely, head coach Tubby Smith announced at a press conference today.

Smith did not give reasons for the suspensions, but the announcement comes just one day after Athletics Director Joel Maturi said Trevor Mbakwe could not participate in the Gophers’ games.

Bostick, a senior in his second season with Minnesota, averaged 4.3 points, 1 assist and 11 minutes during his junior campaign.

White is a freshman from Hopkins, Minn. who helped lead Hopkins High School to a state title in 2008. White earned a grade of 94 out of 100 from ESPN evaluations and, along with Mbakwe and Rodney Williams Jr, was considered the Gophers top recruit.
