Obesity is a king-sized issue

At the University there is at least one vending machine in every hall where classes are held. Recently, they have added some new items: king-size candy bars.

A regular candy bar is already one serving, so why are the sizes being doubled?

Our country is facing major problems with obesity and it isnâÄôt only affecting children. There are many adults out there who are facing a lot of medical problems because they are obese.

More than half of the items in vending machines are considered “junk food,” yet we keep them in our school. Instead of king-sizing our candy bars, downsize the amount of junk food that is available to students.
