LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) âÄî Defense attorneys say Little Rock police violated the constitutional rights of a suspect when they twice interviewed him in the slaying of an Arkansas TV anchorwoman. Court documents say lawyers for Curtis Lavelle Vance weren’t notified before he was questioned on Dec. 10, and again on Feb. 24, in the slaying of KATV anchorwoman Anne Pressly. The 28-year-old Vance, from Marianna, faces a capital murder charge. Arguments on motions were scheduled for Tuesday. Police Lt. Terry Hastings declined to comment Monday on the defense claims, citing a gag order in the case. Public defender Katherine Streett wrote that in one case police refused to allow a lawyer into an interview that was underway.
