Director of golf John Harris officially announced today that John Carlson and Katie Brenny will join his staff as the associate men’s and women’s head coach, and Ernie Rose will return to the program as the Director of Instruction.

Carlson, a four-year letter winner on the Wisconsin men’s golf team, was an assistant golf professional at Wayzata Country Club for the past three years.

The 1998 Minnesota high school state champion, Brenny played her college golf at Wake Forest finishing second individually in the 2001 ACC Championship.  She worked as an assistant pro for Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina and as a columnist at Florida Golf Central Magazine and recently had been playing professionally on the Duramed Futures Tour and the Women’s Canadian Tour.

Both Brenny and Carlson are natives of Minnesota.

Rose, Harris’ son-in-law, previously was the Director of Instruction at Winsong Farm Country Club as well an assistant-head coach for the women’s team.  The Australia native played collegiate golf at South Carolina and turned pro in 2001.
