Hannah Haakenson, a copy editor for the Daily, has been a part of the team for a year. She focuses on fact-checking sources and ensuring that each article is error free. Hannah is in her final semester at the University of Minnesota — she's studying English, Technical Writing & Communications and is going for her Certificate in Editing and Publishing. All of this is to say Hannah loves the idiosyncrasies of the English language, and she is always ready to edit something. Following graduation, she hopes to stay in Minneapolis and work in publishing.
