Two Gophers volleyball players earned weekly Big Ten honors Monday.
Senior outside hitter Katherine Harms won her second Player of the Week award this season after winning her first two weeks ago. Harms hit .400 this weekend against Illinois and Northwestern in the conference openers, which the Gophers won 3-0 and 3-1, respectively. She averaged 5.1 kills, 1.7 digs and 0.9 blocks per set.
Junior setter Alexandra Palmer earned the Co-Setter of the Week title along with Micha Hancock of Penn State. Palmer averaged 14.0 assists, 1.3 digs and 0.4 blocks per set this weekend against the Illini and the Wildcats. This is the first weekly award of her career.
Minnesota will host Ohio State and Penn State on Friday and Saturday at the Sports Pavilion.
