The U.S. women's volleyball team tallied another win in its Olympic gold-medal campaign. The Americans defeated Serbia three sets to none.
The first set ended 25-17. Serbia managed to narrow the gap in the second set, which the U.S. won 25-20. But the Americans ran away in the third set, winning 25-16.
Former Gophers setter Lindsey Berg again started and led the team to the convincing win. She made 58 sets, nine digs, three blocks, two spikes and 26 serves.
Hugh McCutcheon coaches the national team and will also coach Minnesota once his U.S. duties are completed.
The U.S. will play Turkey on Sunday in its last pool play match. The Americans are undefeated and lead their group. The only other undefeated team is Russia, which tops the other group.
