Students can track campus buses via phone or computer this fall

Students no longer will have to guess whether it would be faster to trek to class instead of waiting for a Campus Connector.

This fall University of Minnesota students can know where the campus buses are, the next scheduled arrival time and how full each bus is via their cell phone or computer.

NextBus uses a GPS system to determine bus location. Students can call or text with the bus stop number they are at to find the location and predicted arrival time of the next bus. The information is also available online.

Parking and Transportation Services ancitipates a few kinks, like a bus not appearing on the map although its on schedule, as the new service rolls out, it said on its website.
