The Gophers men's hockey team's sweep of Michigan State last weekend impressed a lot of people, including the voters in the USCHO.com poll.
Minnesota jumped ahead of Boston College to take the top spot in this week’s poll and received 46 of 50 first-place votes. The Eagles dropped to No. 3 in the poll after losing on the road to Northeastern last weekend. Minnesota’s WCHA rival North Dakota moved into the No. 2 slot.
The Gophers moved to No. 1 in the USA Today/USA Hockey poll last week and now hold the top spot in both major hockey polls.
