The Gophers men's swimming and diving team ranks 13th in the nation, according to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America's first poll of the year released Wednesday.
Florida, Michigan and Stanford make up the top three in the rankings.
Minnesota climbed seven spots from last season's final poll. The Gophers were No. 20 heading into the NCAA championships.
The men have competed in only one official dual meet this season. They traveled to Michigan Oct. 5 and lost to the defending Big Ten champion 170-124. Since then, the men have held an intrasquad meet and took a weekend off from the pool.
The Gophers return to action Friday when they host Wisconsin at the University Aquatic Center.
