The Gophers volleyball team ranks 14th in the nation, according to Monday's American Volleyball Coaches' Association weekly poll. Minnesota moved up two places from the preseason poll.

The Gophers' upcoming opponent, Texas, fell to No. 4 from its No. 2 spot in the previous poll. Nebraska, UCLA and Penn State make up the top-three teams in the country.

Minnesota travels to Texas on Thursday and Friday before returning home Monday to face North Dakota State.
