Senior women's hockey defenseman Megan Bozek and freshman forward Hannah Brandt were awarded WCHA weekly honors Tuesday.
Bozek was named Co-Defensive Player of the Week along with North Dakota's Monique Lamoureux. Bozek had two goals and three assists in Minnesota's sweep over Minnesota State-Mankato. She currently ranks third on the team with 23 points.
Brandt was named WCHA Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season. She had two goals and an assist in the Gophers' 3-0 win Friday, and she had a goal and an assist in Saturday's 9-1 victory. Brandt and linemate Amanda Kessel are tied for the NCAA lead with 38 points.
The top-ranked Gophers will play at New Hampshire this weekend.
