Golf: Trasamar tied for second through two rounds in Arizona

Gophers men's golf player Jon Trasamar is tied for second after two rounds of the WSU Snowman Getaway Invitational. The junior shot rounds of 1-under par and 4-under par Monday at the Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.

Freshman Jon DuToit also shot under par in his second round and is tied for 17th. He used four birdies to shoot a 2-under 70.

Junior Alex Gaugert, senior Erik Van Rooyen and freshman Charlie Braniff complete the Gophers lineup. Minnesota is currently tied for sixth out of 14 teams heading into Tuesday's final round. The Gophers are 8-over par as a team, 17 shots behind frontrunner Missouri.
