The Board of Regents is holding a special meeting Friday to discuss and potentially take action on the ongoing debate about renaming four campus buildings, according to an email sent to administrators, local media and student leaders Tuesday.

The renaming of four campus buildings is currently under consideration due to a perceived racist history of their namesakes.

“The purpose of this meeting is consideration and potential action on historical building namings,” the meeting notice read.
