Junior middle blocker Tori Dixon and senior outside hitter Katherine Harms have earned spots on the NCAA Mideast All-Region team, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.
Both Dixon and Harms made the All-Big Ten team this season as well. This is Dixon's second selection to the All-Region team and Harms' first.
Dixon tops the Big Ten and is third in the nation in hitting percentage at .441. She also has 364 kills and averages 3.08 kills per set.
Harms leads the Gophers with 484 kills, 4.1 kills per set and 569.5 points. She is also second on the team in digs with 294 and in aces with 40.
The Gophers will face familiar Big Ten foe Purdue on its home court Friday in the NCAA Sweet 16. If Minnesota beats the Boilermakers, it will play either Kentucky or Penn State on Saturday in the Elite Eight.
