The Gophers volleyball team jumped four spots in Monday's American Volleyball Coaches Association poll. The team is now ranked 10th in the nation.
Minnesota started off the preseason at No. 16, climbed to No. 14 last week and now broke into the top 10 after splitting a series with higher-ranked Texas. The Longhorns fell from fourth to sixth in the latest poll.
Nebraska retained its No. 1 ranking, while UCLA and Southern California moved up to round out the top-three positions.
Monday's rivals North Dakota State are unranked. But this weekend, Minnesota will face No. 19 Kansas State and No. 20 Dayton at the Tulsa tournament.
