Junior middle blocker Tori Dixon earned the Big Ten Conference's Defensive Player of the Week award Monday.
Dixon had 10 blocks in Minnesota's five-set win over Nebraska and sweep of Iowa this weekend. She averaged 1.3 blocks per set, with seven against the Cornhuskers and three blocks against the Hawkeyes.
She also made an impact offensively. Dixon hit .457 during the weekend and averaged 3.5 kills per set.
This is Dixon's third Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
The Gophers will conclude the Big Ten season Wednesday at Wisconsin and Saturday at Indiana. Selections for the NCAA tournament will be announced Sunday.
