A digital image hangs on the wall of the Mineapolis Institue of Art on Saturday, Nov. 14.  The artist, Cara Romero, descends from the Chemehuevi people and comes from a family of potters. According to the museum’s description, the woman represents the spirit “Clay Lady,” who provides clay for potters.
